What I Like The Most About My 2012 2.0 Range Rover Evoque Si4

One of my daily drive is a 13-years-old Range Rover Evoque (This article is written in February 2025). Some say that Range Rovers are unreliable, but my experience has been quite the opposite. Despite its age, my Evoque continues to impress me with its blend of luxury, performance, and practicality. Here are 5 things I love the most about it:

1. It drives extremely comfortable

I don’t take my Evoque off-road, even though it is equipped with capabilities to handle extreme conditions like snow or muddy terrain. For me, this car is more of a soft-road luxury SUV, and I primarily use it for city driving and long highway journeys. The suspension absorbs road imperfections well, making every trip smooth and enjoyable.

2. Luxurious Interior

Step inside the Evoque, and you’ll straight away feel like you’re in a premium vehicle, trust me! The leather seats, materials, and stylish dashboard design make it a pleasure to be in. Some of my friend also said that this car has got a signature scent, even I am not using any kind of perfume in the car. Even after more than a decade, the interior remained in excellent condition, and everything still feels high-quality and new.

3. Powerful Engine

My Range Rover Evoque is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. While some may think it’s too small for a SUV, the turbocharger ensures it has a lot of power. It accelerates effortlessly makes highway cruising and overtaking an easy task. Even though it’s outlook looking big and sturdy, the Evoque still feels fast and responsive.

4. Premium Sound System

One of my favourite features is the Meridian sound system. The sound quality is clear and smooth, with strong bass and balanced highs. Whether I’m listening to podcasts, music, or audiobooks, the audio in the Evoque makes every drive more fun.

Before I got this car, I never heard about the brand ‘Meridian’ because in Malaysia, we used to other famous speaker brands like BOSE, Harman Kardon, JBL or Sony. But after owning a Range Rover, then I know that Meridian is a well known speaker brand.

5. Dual-zone Climate Control

This is a handy feature, especially when traveling with passengers who prefer different temperatures. While dual-zone climate control is a common feature in modern cars today, it was quite rare in a vehicle made back in 2012. That’s why I still appreciate that my Evoque came equipped with it. Even after 13 years of use, the system continues to function as if it were brand new, maintaining precise temperature settings for both the driver and front passenger without any issues.

Owning a Range Rover Evoque has been a great experience. Even though it’s over 10 years old, it still feels modern, comfortable, and fun to drive. It shows that a well-kept luxury SUV can still offer a top-notch experience without needing to buy a new model. If you’re thinking about getting an older Evoque, I say go for it—just make sure it’s been well looked after, and it will keep giving you a great driving experience.
